| Cons:
Rather bulky for a shelf system. This is a great system having 3 subs, 2 in the main speaker cabinets and then the individual big one. It also has a high quality digital computer built into it, with all the options that a person could need. A very important feature that it has, is the fan cooled heat sink that helps prolong the life of the unit and alows for louder playing. The overall look of the system is understated simplicity, which gives it a more quality look then alot of the mini hifi systems out on the market too. Overall an awesome room system for your dorm, apartment, or house.

exellent hello
this sony hi fi is great because its very cheap and i got one now....
its sound output is very good sound quality is good but there is some limited feautures like display screen and auto reverse on cassette deck ...
but overall its great hi fi if u like bass and high bass sound because u can use subwoofer its big and incredible ...
anyway its best choise and great value for money

heavy, looks like a shelf system, front line input, speaker wires are short and thin I just wanted to add to the other posts that I've had this system for 2 years and bought it for $180 and nothing has gone wrong. This is for someone on a budget and wants to fill a room full of sound that isn't boomboxy.

lack of features this is a great system. it is extremely loud and stable. i recommend this to anyone who wants great sound on a limited budget.

| Cons:
Constant malfunctions. After just a few months, the CD tray began to malfunction, and playing CD's was impossible. Sent to Sony repair under warranty, paid $$$ out of pocket for shipping (ouch!). A week after I got it back, the tuner stopped working. I will soon be paying as much in shipping as it would have cost to buy a new, better, unit! Believe me, it's worth an extra few bucks to buy something better, or at least something from a manufacturer with a better warranty and better customer service! Don't be fooled by the brand name, I was.
