Very good deal for the price I paid. This drive is VERY fast, and stable, especially for CD burning. Almost zero lag. you put a disc in and it starts reading. Almost no waiting. I was really surprised and pleasantly satisfied after having this drive installed on my computer. It's really compact too (a slim drive for a slim tray). Disc ejection is also fast and there's an internal orange LED light that tells you what's going on. 24X write speed, very stable and read every disc I've ever played. Not like my other notebook (a Sony Vaio with 10" inch wide screen and DVD burner for your information...) which refuses to read several (slightly scratched) CDs and DVDs... Toshiba's support's OK, not the best. Feature is a 4 since it's JUST a drive, will not work as an alarm clock or a microwave oven.

| Cons:
Can not read some CDs which can be read by other drives I found that this drive is not good in reading CDs that can be read without any problems on other drives. This happens even for the CDs without any scratches etc.
