Pros:
Very easy to set up and manage |

Cons:
Not good for Win98 peer to peer networks. This is a great little product. It is especially great for those of us who have to support non-technical people. The install is straightforward, and the finger print training was easy. The sensor is quick and fairly forgiving (your finger can be off a couple of degrees in either direction and still pass). It took less than 15 minutes to get my user installed and trained, including configuring for a dozen of her favorite web sites.
The only down side I found was there does seem to be an issue running the Omnipass software on a 98 machine on a peer to peer network with no security. Suddenly, all of the mapped drives gave a

Pros:
Really Handy! |

Cons:
Does Not Work With Firefox! I "should have" done more research before I purchased this product! My primary browser is Firefox. This biopod does not work with Firefox. So,unless you use Internet Explorer for your browser Or you want to switch back-n-forth between browsers to take advantage of this cool little tool,I would first look at all the biopods available and check out the reviews,etc.... It's a really helpful tool if you have many passwords to remember and don't want to keep reminder notes handy nor "key-in" your passwords. My operating system is Windows XP Pro.

Pros:
Excellent Recognition, Reasonable Price |
|
|
|
Cons:
Poor Software You'd expect that your new biometric device would recognize multiple people and validate them quickly and easily. Unfortunately, the software that this device is bundled with (OmniPass) is terribly limited.
The fingerprints work great, but just for one person at a time. Multiple users are possible, but not in any concurrent fashion. They force extra logins/logouts and document it as a security feature. What's the point in even using the biometrics then? It takes too long.
In short, if you want multiple users to be verified in an efficient manner, you better find a different program. Great piece of harware, pathetic software.
