Pros:  prints fast

Cons:  none I purchased this printer a few weeks ago after deciding to upgrade to a better color printer from an Canon Multipass C5000 that is about 5 years old and reading some reviews about this printer. I was truly astounded by the quality of the prints. Eventually, I want to get an Epson 2200 to do archival prints for art work, but I thought this printer would be good to use to print reference photos and for other less permanent color prints - the printer has 6 color inks rather than the normal four which makes the print image that much more vibrant. I've tried printing photos on both high quality photo paper and also just plain paper, and have been pleased with both results. The ink does seem to be water resistent, although, I would use a suitable fixative on it if I felt I needed to. It also prints text well. The printer is fast and quiet, and I am truly happy with it.

Pros:  Great quality

Cons:  Expensive` I've had this printer for 6 months now and its excellent. The prints are really detailed and

even with the cheap inks the quality is still great. For anyone thinking of buy this, it is

great for home and proffesional use. Dont buy the Espon inks as a new set costs roughly

Pros:  it works

Cons:  none Sorry HP but I have to let you go. I've owned only HP except for a Canon S900. After doing a days worth of shooting I came back to my HP 7690 to print. The colors were all off plus I was getting REALLY tired of those expensive HP ink tanks going empty so fast. Not only that, but the least bit of water and a print was ruined!

After checking around I decided to try Epson.

There is NOTHING I don't like about this printer. At last, I'm am so very happy with my prints.

Pros:  print speed, Print quality

Cons:  reliability, service, tech support, cost, printing costs I purchased an Epson Stylus R800 photo printer approximately two years ago. It was shortly after the warranty expired that it quit working (would not turn on). I took it to a local repair shop and was told it would be more expensive to repair than to buy a new one. I did in fact buy a new one a year ago (11/09/2006), it too quit working (same problem..would not power up) but was still under warranty (barely). I was advised by Epson Support to take it to a repair shop in Salt Lake City Utah. I did take it to the AUTHORIZED repair shop and according to them, they replaced something in the control panel. That repair is barely two months old and my printer has failed once again to power up. Does Epson have that poor of a product that one fails three times in two years, and once almost immediately following a repair by an authorized facility? I recently bought a photo printer and went with an HP model because of the problems I had with my Epson printer… It’s junk and I can not rely on it.
