Pros:
Excellent color screen, easy to use, lots of extras |
| Cons:
None? I didn't think I'd ever upgrade from my original Handspring Visor, but I'm REALLY glad the Tungsten E came along. I love that it works with a charger and not AAA batteries, that the color screen has amazing resolution, and I especially love that I didn't lose all of my info when I upgraded. Props to Palm software for staying compatible. The calendar view, where you can see the day's appointments and highlights coming up, is great. The tip and % discount calculator are very convenient features as well. I like having access to databases and being able to load acrobat/word/excel files. It's almost a mini-laptop! I'm really glad it doesn't have one of those little keyboards, though. They're awkward to type on, and once you're proficient with graffiti, it's a breeze.

Pros:
Excellent Color Screen |

| Cons:
Battery Life is Miserable Overall good product, but battery life is very short. It will not last a full day. Palm could improve the product significantly if they would offer a 12 volt travel charger and offer additional ac adapters.

Pros:
Great product for a basic user |
Cons:
Lack of compatibility and available accessories When I bought my Palm at the end of November it was everything I expected it to be and more. I upgraded from a Palm IIIxe, which basically met all my needs but lacked the color I craved. The Tungsten E added color and lots of features I never knew were available on the current version of Palm OS. Within an hour all of my old stuff was on the new Palm and I was reorganizing my entire scheduling system to include the color-coding now available to me. I couldn't get enough!!!
The downside of this product is the lack of "accessories" available to the consumer at this time. The Tungsten E is not compatible with any of its Tungsten brethren, which means certain accessories made for other Tungsten models will not work on the E. While there are a plethera of expansion cards and stylish cases available to E users, a replacement power adapter is not yet available. If you currently use an E, please take care of this precious adapter, cuz you can't buy a new one. Not even from the Palm Store... I learned this the hard way. This "accessory" won't be on the market for some time. In the mean time I am back to using the IIIxe, waiting for my precious cord to arrive so I can get back to using all the great stuff the Tungsten E has to offer!!!

Pros:
Good performance |

Cons:
Incomplete finishes I've used 2 weeks.
- What I used before: Palm m100, Palm IIIx, Sony Clie S360 - What I compared before buying this: Sony Clie TJ35 - Pros: Charges with USB! Crisp and bright display. 320*320 is standard res for OS5 Good sound quality. Touch screen works correctly and feels nice CPU is enough to play MP3 and simulateously do readings or play low-res DIVX using MMPlayer! - Cons CPU is only just enough powerful. Sometimes I need more. Cheap finish; 5-way button already starts to wear out. Flip cover will make scratch on the face frame. Backside is slippery without flipcover folded. In addition, there is no hand-strip support. No cradle; What I need is just a stand for it. ZipZap noises are very loud when turn the power on and off. Awkard power button position; Pulling off the stylus, I turn it off. Bundle software not I18Ned; DocsToGo doesn't support Korean characters. Only SD-slot: SD memories are expensive! I need a CF slot.
1) I love this, though many cons that I wrote above. 2) There is a bundled screen protecting TRANSPARENT STICKER (not film). Don't use this on screen. It will hurt the screen when you pull it off. 3) But what I used is the outer area of the screen protector. Put this on the inside of the flipcover; this will protect the T|E's face from the flipcover stitch. Inner side can be useful to make the T|E's back less slippery, or to protect the 5-way button from wearing out. 4) I bought MMPlayer 0.2.7. This can play DIVX movies. A full movie will fit in 128 SD Memory. 126MHz ARM Processor is capable of many things; Multimedia is surely one of them. 5) I made a cradle myself using a paperbox and a namecard case. 6) RealOne player supports background service; This enables you to use other applications whil listening to music. But you will have to switch to RealOne if you want to be off the PDA while still listen to music. When RealOne is playing in Background Service mode, this will not block the PDA from automatic power off function. 7) USB cable connecter is standard type. I share the cable with my Canon S400 and the Multi memory reader. 8) And the USB charges. I plug the DC adapter watching a movie in the night, next morning, read a book on the way to the office, and plug the USB in the office. I use it some 5 or 6 hours a day and the battery doesn't indicate below 50%. Actually no concern about battery. 9) So... What do you want with PDA? Watch network streaming music video? (No, can't do this) Check your email on the metro? (Can't do this, either); Actually I want to do these 'Ubiquitos' things. These conflicted with my expense limit. 10) Yes. That's the reason why I bought this and love it eventually.

Pros:
Color resolution is outstanding, processor speed more than adequate |
| Cons:
None I have owned four PDA's. The last two have been Palm's. The Tungsten E is BY FAR the best thing going. The price makes this a no-brainer - the battery life is excellent, the screen is viewable, with bright color in ANY light, the expansion cards gives it unlimited use. There are no downsides to this PDA, period!

Pros:
Does practically everything my laptop does, but much more portable. |
| Cons:
Battery life is less than adequate. This is my first PDA and I love it. I researched quite a bit before taking the jump, and haven't regretted one second. I've been the direct result of several other sales of this particular model because of my enthusiasm about it. It's my new best friend.

Pros:
easy to use |
| Cons:
poor customer support My Palm is 6 months old and the power button doesn't work anymore. I have to turn it on using the reset. Palm will not stand behind their equipment and are charging $125.00 to fix the power button. Support consists of an e-mailed form letter stating they can not do anything. Very poor.
