Pros:
Looks nice |

Cons:
Buttons were hard to press and easy to confuse. Kept ringing after I would answer incoming calls. Didn't divert the calls to voicemail and kept ringing. Poor colors. I had this phone only for a week and could not wait to get rid of it. Reception was very poor. Sometimes the phone would keep ringing and ringing and ringing after I would answer the call. I would have to turn the power of the phone OFF to reset it. Quite embarasing when you are in a company of people. Also sometimes it wouldn't divert incoming calls to my voicemail and kept ringing and ringing and ... well you got the idea. When I called siemens they acted like I was doing something wrong. They told me it was my carrier's fault that calls din't get diverted to my voicemail. Well, I used 4 different phones with the same T-Mobile sim card and never had similar problem. I have a degree in electronics and I do know how to use and setup equipment, dear siemens customer service. Display was also hard to read unless I was somewhere in a dark place. Overall I was disapointed. I would not recommend to buy that phone to nobody. I paid over $200 which I think was way too much. It is packed with features. But I bought the phone to make calls in the first place. And it is made in Germany? Unbelieveable.

Pros:
The whole thing |
Cons:
Could not find any, even after five years of permanent use Folks: I bought my S55 in 2003 and it is still working absolutely error-free, even after five years! It did never let me down, in any situation. I just love it and I dearly hope that it will never leave me (at least not in the next 2 or 3 years)... A sleek design, still up-to-date features, an acceptable sound and an unmatched user-friendly interface (the address book in particular). Furthermore, is has an almost inexhaustable standby-time (1 week? 2 weeks? I dont know - sometimes it seems to be going on forever)! :-) However, the price of 1200 USD is a little out of touch. When I bought my brand-new S55 in 2003 (The Original - Made in Germany), it did cost about 500 USD. However, this phone is not made any longer, as the German manufacturer Siemens Mobile vanished in 2007. Could be that this is a collector's price!?

Pros:
Apparently - the poor performance for a "$1200" phone |
Cons:
Don't know because I don't own one (or wish to!) Just an observation, rather than a review. This phone is shown on Yahoo/Amazon as being available for just under $1200! I only hope that either it's a pricing error, or Siemens have had a lot of complaints! That's all folks! Byyyyyye!

Pros:
excellent technical quality |
| Cons:
poor shell After a few months of use, the silvery cover of the listening device (above the display) fell off and got lost; there is an open scar ever since. After a few more months, one of the tiny plastic hooks at the side of the back cover broke off; it barely keeps properly closed now. Today, after about 1.5 years of use, the silvery cover of the digit 1 fell off. Luckily, I witnessed when it fell off, and can glue it back on with super glue (hopefully). Anyway, this is definitely not worthy of a Siemens product, and I will change products in a few months when I get a free new phone with contract extension; those incidents should not be part of the usual wear and tear.

Pros:
tiny and has lots of options |
| Cons:
a little too tiny and options are hard to access The sales people did a good job promoting this phone but after receiving it I was disappointed by the keypad. The keys are a little too close together and it is very easy to hit the wrong key...actually not very user friendly. Am about to return to Fido and try a Sony Ericcson. And finally the many many options are simply too hard to locate and use.

This is the worst phone I have ever bought, but thank GOD I replaced it with a nokia 6610 immediatly. The first phone I have ever bought that keeps on ringing after you answer a call or miss a call. I think that there are too many bugs in it. My advice is keep away from it.
