Pros:  Substansial noise reduction, great sound.

Cons:  Separate battery pack can be a fuss. I commute every day on public transportation 2hrs with an Ipod and these headphones make the trip a whole lot more enjoyable. No set of headphones will eliminate all noice but the constant sound of train and bus is virtually eliminated with these headphones. And my pod sounds great thru them too. I've traveled on a plane with these and they work great there too. The cool thing on a plane is that even if you are not listening to music if you have the headphones on and the noise cancel on then you can have a nice quiet trip and maybe even get some rest. Compared with other high end noise canceling headphones these are great for the price. Did not notice much difference between these and the BOSE I used to have that cost twice as much.
