Nikon ENEL1 Battery

Product Description

What is an EN-EL1 rechargeable battery? Well, if you have a Nikon Coolpix you know that the battery only lasts a couple of hours. So you have a choice, spend a little money now, or spend a lot of money over time for batteries. This battery is made specifically for the Nikon Coolpix and should last several years under normal use (charging once a week). So save yourself a couple hundred dollars and purchase a rechargeable battery today!

Pros:  none

Cons:  DEAD TOO SOON I was told that this battery would last about 2 hours (which, to me, is too short anyway) of normal shooting. Well
just putting the camera thru it's paces, the battery was exhausted within about 1 and 1/2 hours so I had to use a 6- volt lithium battery while I waited for it to recharge. Even the lithium battery conked out before 2 hours of continuous shooting.

Does anyone know of a generic replacement that will last about 3 or more hours before conking out?
