Pros:  Reliable

Cons:  Monopoly on Portable CD recording This unit is one of two portable CD recorders in existence, so it seems. It's sister unit has an onboard memory drive as well as more onboard recording features. This unit has everything I need to do voice acting, making sound effects, and recording my brother's band.
It's price is exactly the same as it was three years ago. It also hasn't evolved significantly because there isn't a high demand for it in comparison to something like the iPod. Regardless, it does its job well--sometimes too well, and has everything onboard that one could possibly need from a portable sound recorder.
It is the ALPHA and OMEGA of portable professional sound recorders. There isn't much competition out there (hear the crickets). I just wish the price would go down $100 or so.
