Samsung SV5000 VCR

Product Description

Samsung VCRs have been one of world's top sellers for well over a decade. Beyond the obvious quality of construction and performance lies an abundance of convenient features designed to make your life a whole lot simpler. Life is complicated enough without having to do battle with a poorly thought out machine.

Many countries have different TV broadcasting systems with no compatibility between them. This means a videotape recorded in one country may not be able to be viewed or duplicated in another country. Samsung's worldwide VCR SV-5000 overcomes this problem by digitally converting the signal format of any tape into the format you desire. Featuring Digital system conversion, Playback conversion, TV signal conversion, Conversion Timer recording, a World TV signal receiver and much more. Watching your favorite video, whether foreign or domestic, will be simple.

Pros:  Less expensive cob=nverting VCR

Cons:  Low manufacturing quality or design flow in power supply I had Samsung SV5000 VCR for about 4 years. It's power supply unit broke down first time two years from the day I purchased. I repaired it in the authorised service center but guess what two years later I have same problem again. In addition subsung refuses to pay for repair or replace the unig even it's obviouse to me it;s either design or manufacturing problem that leads to periodic breakdowns of the power supply. I found some other owners of the SV5000 on the net who had same problem.
