Silent Hill PlayStation

Product Description

Silent Hill tells the story of a man searching for his lost daughter in a bleak tourist town. As Harry Mason and his daughter Cheryl were driving down the road, a dark, ominous figure appeared in the vehicle's headlights. Harry tried to avoid it; he swerved out of the way but lost control of the car and crashed.

After coming to, Harry stood up from the wreckage and took a look around. It was the spot of their vacation destination, only something was seriously wrong. There were no pedestrians or cars around; he was seemingly alone and his daughter was missing. It was snowing – something seemingly impossible during the summer months and the air was filled with a thick, dense fog.

Much like the Resident Evil series, Silent Hill is played from a third-person perspective in a world emphasizing on elements of horror and fear. It focuses on realistic character controls – Harry runs and acts like an average person; he'll get tired after constantly running around and begin to breathe heavily. Because most people lack the knowledge of operating firearms, Harry has an inaccurate aim meaning he often misses his target.

Unlike other survival horror games (circa 1999), Silent Hill takes place in a seemingly real town – road signs and park benches are strewn about on each sidewalk and the buildings are modeled with names and window dressings. Instead of rummaging around through biochemical laboratories and big mansions, Harry will search for his daughter through an elementary school, a hospital and the town's many streets.

While walking down the various roadways, caution must be practiced – horrific creatures are lurking about; hellhounds are ready to pounce on you, flying and seemingly skinned pterodactyls hover around, and little mummified babies with knives are prepared to end Harry's life. Fortunately, he has been supplied with a pocket radio that emits noise and static when an enemy is approaching – will you run or will you face the unknown terror?

What started off as a vacation has turned into a nightmare...one that Harry may never wakeup from. Enjoy your stay in Silent Hill. ~ Michael L. House, All Game Guide

Pros:  Story

Cons:  N/A Silent Hill is a good game, The Storyline is better than alot we see today(Not all). The Graphic swere good for its tiem and system but compared to the new age games then like most, They can't compare. The control isn't bad. Overall this game is good, even compared to the new ones. If your looking for a little chill, an involving storyline and, challenging puzzles. Pick this title up it's worth a try!

Pros:

Cons:   Ever since the day I played the game, I loved it. Me and my friend were at Blockbuster, it was like July 1999. I saw the cover and I read the back, and I was like hey, I heard this game is the best ever, when i had actually never heard of it. We got home and started playing it, we were so scared, and at the time the graphics were awesome, but today, the graphics suck, but I still love it.
We were into the game so much, and I was like oh I have to have this game. So after we had to return it, I couldnt find it anywhere, I asked all around, and people were like, its a top seller. you wont be able to find it.
Then about a week later, after searching on the internet for a good deal, and endless hours of looking around, I got it in the mail, i was like woa, someone saw how desperate I was and sent it to me for free. I was so happy. You have no idea.
From that day on I was a loyal Silent Hill fan, I have Silent Hill 1, Silent Hill 2, and Im anticipating for the 3rd one.
I also have a leading Silent Hill website, please visit it at:

Thank you and have a great day, and please do buy this game.

Pros:

Cons:   Silent Hill has to be the most entertaining game I have ever played. I always end up losing interest in a game shortly after I start. Endless counts of mystery and the search for a possible Win all ending among the many how can I not be interested. I've played this game to the end over 10 times and am still finding new and amusing things. It's a must have! Realistic Graphics and lifelike maneuvering of the character, including his breathing. Must have Vibrating Analogue for this game. In other words...WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? GET IT!

Pros:

Cons:   You never know where they are coming from. Limited weapons and healing. To add to the tension was the feel of your heart beat in the controller. The more injuries you sustain the harder the heart beat shook the controller. I believe my own heart was going at the same pace.
